Overview

How we treat anxiety and panic

Anxiety improves through repetition. One therapy hour a week leaves six days for avoidance to rebuild. In PHP or IOP you practice facing what you've been avoiding several times a week, with support, then bring back what happened and adjust. We treat generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, and related conditions.

You're avoiding work, driving, people, or places you used to handle

Panic attacks are frequent, or fear of the next one shapes your day

Worry keeps you up most nights

You've gone to urgent care or the ER for symptoms that turned out to be anxiety

Who it helps

When anxiety needs more than weekly therapy

If several of these fit, a structured program can help you get your life back faster than weekly sessions alone. If you're relying on alcohol or sedatives to get through the day, tell us during the assessment so we can plan your care safely.

FAQ

Anxiety treatment questions

Will group therapy make my anxiety worse?

Most people are nervous for the first few days, and that usually fades quickly. You won't be pushed to share before you're ready.

Do I need a diagnosis first?

No. Our assessment evaluates your symptoms and recommends PHP, IOP, or another level of care.

Can I keep working?

Often, in IOP. PHP runs weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., so it usually means short-term leave or reduced hours. Working during treatment

Will my insurance cover it?

Most commercial plans cover PHP and IOP when they are medically necessary. We verify your benefits and tell you what to expect to owe before you start. How insurance works at Novaris
