Overview

Where we fit

EAP counseling and weekly therapy work for many people. When an employee's depression, anxiety, or trauma symptoms start affecting attendance, performance, or safety, they may need a higher level of care. Novaris provides that care on an outpatient basis, so employees sleep at home and return to work with a plan, not just a discharge date.

FAQ

Questions from HR and EAP teams

How does an employee get referred?

The employee can call (704) 448-6053 or request an assessment online. HR or an EAP counselor can also call with the employee's consent. The employee completes the assessment directly with our clinical team.

Will you tell us how the employee is doing?

Only with the employee's written consent, and usually only what's needed for leave or return-to-work decisions, such as attendance and expected return date. Clinical details stay private.

Is treatment covered by our health plan?

Most commercial plans cover PHP and IOP when they are medically necessary. We verify the employee's benefits before they start. How insurance works at Novaris
